We had the privilege of sitting under Mr. "Papa" Kirby for chapel every Monday morning.
Papa has been an upstanding Christian example to generations of believers in our church.
We were blessed to have him take time to faithfully teach our students from God's Word every week. Papa is an engaging teacher, asking questions of the students and encouraging them to memorize God's Word (Deuteronomy 11:18).
Papa focused on Hebrews chapter 11 which coincided perfectly with our third grader's memory verses in Hebrews 11:11-15.
His focus verse was the definition of faith found in Hebrews 1:1 "For faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not seen."
Thank you, Papa, for your faithful teaching and love for us and your Godly example to us.
